Brother Cindy Grubenhoff has been serving as Section 30's Fundraising Chair since January 2018. Commitment to this position is reaffirmed annually and on a volunteer basis at every Section 30 Conference. The duties of the Section 30 Fundraising Chair are defined as follows: 

Acts as a resource to all chapters in Section 30 regarding fundraising opportunities and best practices. Counsels and guides chapter members to assist them in improving fundraising results. Is informed about fundraising ethical guidelines and is prepared to assist students when they have questions about fundraising ethics.

What chapter are you from, and when did you pledge? I pledged Epsilon Xi (Colorado State University) in 1994 and I was an advisor for Delta Delta (St. Louis University) from 1998-2002.  

Did you hold any leadership roles in your chapter as a student? Yes, I was the Service VP and then the President. 

What is (or was) your major? Are you pursuing further education, or are you all done? My major was Human Development and Family Studies with a focus on Nonprofit Management. I also received a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Missouri St. Louis.

What is your job? I own my own business as a Fundraising Strategist. I help nonprofit organizations create the perfect fundraising strategy so they can focus on their mission impact through one-on-one coaching, strategic planning and  

What are your hobbies? I enjoy baking, singing in my church choir, knitting, and most off all hanging out with my husband and kids.

Why did the Section 30 Fundraising Chair opportunity appeal to you? I have always looked for the ways I can make a positive impact on my community through volunteering and fundraising, which is why I started my business. Helping APO chapters with their fundraising efforts is just a perfect fit for me!
