Brother Oriana Meldrum has been serving as Section 30's History Chair since her appointment on August 14, 2017. Commitment to this position is reaffirmed annually and on a volunteer basis at every Section 30 Conference. The duties of the Section 30 History Chair are defined as follows:

Compiles and maintains a section history and helps chapters document their own histories.

What chapter are you from, and when did you pledge? Epsilon Xi, at Colorado State University in fall of 2015.

Did you hold any leadership roles in your chapter as a student? I was a member of many committees (Service, Fundraising, Historian, Fellowship, Pledge Master, Membership, Region 8 Conference, and Formal) every semester and held VP of Membership.

What is (or was) your major? Are you pursuing further education, or are you all done? I graduated with a Bachelors in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine and a minor in Gerontology.

What is your job? I currently work in orthotics, with an eye on becoming a practitioner of orthics and prosthetics.

What are your hobbies? I run, hike, quilt, craft, volunteer (outside of APO), and enjoy vintage British cars.

Why did the Section PR Chair opportunity appeal to you? As one of the most isolated sections in the fraternity, I know it can be hard to get new ideas about recording our history. As Membership Chair I helped bring back education for our active brothers as I realized how much active brothers forgot after attending Nationals. During the process of trying to find interesting tidbits to entertain the chapter, I found such a wealth of information I realized very few members know about.
