Brother Cassie Harmon has been serving as Section C1's Chair since October 20, 2018.
This position is elected by the students annually and accepted on a volunteer basis at every Section 30 Conference. The duties of the Section Chair are defined in the National Bylaws.

What chapter are you from, and when did you pledge? Mu Pi, Colorado School of Mines, in Spring 2010.

Did you hold any leadership roles in your chapter as a student? I was the Historian for one year and the Alumni and Public Relations Officer for one year.

What is (or was) your major? Are you pursuing further education, or are you all done? I majored in Engineering - Civil Specialty with an emphasis in Soils and minored in Public Policy. I am all done with formal education for now.

What is your job? I am a Staff Engineer for J&T Consulting, Inc. in Fort Lupton. I get to design projects from road/sewer/water replacements to reservoirs. Most of the work I do is for municipalities. During the summer I do construction inspection, too.

What are your hobbies? I enjoy crafting. I have quite a few APO themed items (hat, tote bag, and jewelry) from this. I've taken up running and am learning to enjoy the running part instead of just the endorphins when I am done.

Why did the Section C1 Chair opportunity appeal to you? After I graduated from college, I felt like it was hard to stay connected with all of my brothers and I am excited to get to help develop a network for brothers to stay connected and to help the chapters keep connected to the wealth of knowledge that alumni brothers can have, if they are from the area chapters originally, or moved to the Section 30 area later.
