So, what exactly are we all about? Alpha Phi Omega is a co-ed service fraternity, but don't jump to conclusions just yet. Here are a few things that set us apart from the rest:
This organization is a co-ed service fraternity. When most people think of fraternities, they often envision social groups focused on a sense of belonging, with an emphasis on parties, flag football, and pranks... all fine in their own right. However, Alpha Phi Omega is motivated by a higher purpose, focusing on leadership, friendship, and service to give back to the community.
It's open to anyone. Even though we are technically a fraternity, membership in this organization is open to both men and women. Whether you're the brainiest bookworm or the wildest wild-child, you can join. You can even be part of another sorority or fraternity. The only requirement is a genuine desire to help those in need.
It's a national organization. Not only do students have the opportunity to join, but Alpha Phi Omega is also the largest co-ed service fraternity in the world, with more than 525,000 members across over 375 campuses nationwide. |
