Steven Mones from the Delaware Valley Orienteering Association will be giving a virtual presentation about the basics of orienteering. This presentation will cover the basic rules of the sport, how to read the map and use the compass, safety, and other information. I STRONGLY recommend attending this presentation if you plan on going to the orienteering event at Iron Hill Park on Sunday, or the White Clay Creek event in November, or if you are just interested in orienteering. If you want to attend the event but can't make it to the presentation, just email me and I can explain everything we went over; there will also be chances to ask questions at the presentation, so if you cannot attend but have questions email them to me and I can ask them. There will also be experienced orienteers at the event on Sunday who can help you before the event if you have more questions.
