You will be transcribing documents to help Smithsonian better ensure readability and accessibility of historical materials. Please join the zoom meeting by 6:55 to get set up and ready to go by 7:00 :) To earn credit, reply to the attendance email with (1) names of all brothers on the zoom call (2) title of each document everyone worked on (3) screenshot of zoom call. When you’re transcribing, remember: 1.) Type what you see. Preserve original spelling, grammar, punctuation, and word order, even if it is grammatically incorrect 2.) Keep it simple; don’t worry about formatting 3.) Save frequently 4.) Only hit the orange “Complete and Mark for Review” button when the entire page has been transcribed 5.)
