The following is from the coordinator: Paws in the Park is inspired from adopting our own rescue animals. Currently we are partnering with the Brandywine SPCA in order to host a 5k walk in support of adopting future rescues and build a stockpile of resources to give back to the SPCA. Volunteers will be working activity tables, puppy, and kitten stations, and people to track the 5K as well. We need to make sure the security of the animals thus were enacting what I call the "buddy system". The buddy system is easy to follow, we will be having families that want to walk with possible rescues but this needs to be a supervised process thus we are going to have students pair up with prospective adopters this way they can build a connection while the rescue is staying safe.
