https://invonet.utoledo.edu/event/6632806 This is a joint virtual fundraiser between SNMA and WC4BL to raise funds for the purchase of school supplies and books for two Greater Toledo elementary schools (grades 2-4) in need. These funds will be used to purchase books needed to support literacy. Currently 40% of Toledo is functionally illiterate due to lack of resources and WC4BL along with SNMA want to be of some influence in helping change that directly in the community. The fundraiser will entail recruiting professors to donate prizes and play along with students. Teams will consist of 5-10 people and it there will be a $5.00 donation to participate in the fundraiser. The game will be approx 1.5 - 2 hours and will be formatted similar to the TV Show “Are you smarter than a 5th grader?” where questions are on basic 5th grade subjects such as social studies, basic science, etc.
