Date: Mar 26, 2022 at 1:00pm to 4:00pm
"We are looking for volunteers for Trash 2 Treasure before we start collections. Your help continues the decades long, student-run sustainability tradition that we all know and love! Currently, we have inventory left from the Fall 2021 sale that needs to be cleared out and organized before we begin collections in May. The form to sign up for Spring 2022 Volunteer Sorting Days is available on the NEW UNH Serves Website! Your one-stop shop for all service opportunities on campus. Use the link below to access our service opportunity. https://unhserves.unh.edu/need/detail/?need_id=674639 Once on the page you will click log in and use UNH log in to automatically create an account. You will then be able to sign up (by clicking respond) to volunteer for any or all of our 3 upcoming volunteer days. You can also follow us on the UNH partner page to see our future service opportunities and stay plugged into what we are working on! If you have any trouble logging in and signing up feel free to reach out to Chloe Gross chloe.gross@unh.edu for assistance and any questions." --- March 26th, We will be moving and sorting textile materials from one of T2T's storage containers. This will help us make sure that we donate good materials to local non-profits, discard unusable items, and properly recycle the rest! April 2nd, we will be marking E-Waste for recycling, moving empty bins to the back of the containers, and making sure donatable items are accessible in the front. This work groups similarly recyclable materials together so that they have a greater chance of being recycled properly! April 9th, we will move on to our third and final container! Here we will decide what is not salvageable, determine what can be donated immediately to Goodwill, and rearrange groups of items for accessibility. More gently-used goods to people in need. Directions to S-lot *S Lot is out by West Edge Lot and the Lodges. To get there from Main Campus, drive or get the West Edge Express bus to the 10 West Edge Drive stop (on request). From there, cross the road to the Lot with lots of University vehicles and walk all the way to the shipping containers back near the trees. We'll be back there! Please bring good shoes, gloves if desired, water, and work- and weather-appropriate clothing. Temperature does not deter us, but if it's raining, we will send out an email determining postponement. Wanna know a cool perk of volunteering with T2T? Any of our inventory is yours for free! You see it, you like it, you want it, you got it! ***MUST SIGN UP IN ADDITION TO APOONLINE USING THIS LINK: https://unhserves.unh.edu/need/detail/?need_id=674639 ***
