Help Organize My Friend's Places' Basement!

Date: Apr 16, 2022 at 8:00am to 3:00pm
My Friend's Place opened the homeless shelter in 1989. Now over 30 years later, thousands of people have called My Friend's Place their home. Approximately 200 people will stay at the shelter during any given year, including 30 to 40 families with children. The majority of the families who stay at our shelter are women with children. However in recent years we have seen a large growth in the number of intact families needing shelter. My Friend's Place works closely with officials from communities within our service area to make sure that the neediest of our citizens receive the services they require to become self sufficient. Today My Friend's Place also operates four transitional housing units in Dover. These housing units are designed for homeless families who may occupy a unit for up to two years while they work to overcome obstacles to finding permanent housing. My Friends Place has three large rooms in our basement area that they use for a conference room and two storage areas that definitely need some cleaning/organizational work. They would have some fruit and coffee here for breakfast and pizza and soda for lunch plus water throughout the day. ** You have 48 hours prior to this event to remove your name from the list.
