Sign up for Shadow a Wildcat! By signing up, you will let the admissions office know that you are willing to talk to a prospective or admitted student. The admissions office has certain days and times that they are running these events. By signing up you will gain 0.5 credit. If you are matched with a prospective or admitted student and you can make that event, you will send proof to the service email and you will receive 1 hour for each event that you are matched with a student. You will hear from Leah Kuppermann or Brian Rafferty about a week in advance of the Shadow a Wildcat date asking if you are able to volunteer. If so, great! If not, that is okay, just let us know. All you have to do is log into the zoom and we take care of the rest. It is possible that you may not hear from us for a while if we are unable to match you or don’t match you until a date later in the semester. But don’t worry, we will try to match everyone at least once! All current and prospective students will log into one zoom link. A member of the admission team will welcome everyone and do a quick overview of what to expect. From there, we will break each of you off into a breakout room for 20–30-minute conversations with students. Two dates are for prospective students so conversations will be similar to last semester, asking more general questions about UNH and the college search process. The other five dates are for admitted students, this is my favorite population to talk to! The hard work of applying and waiting for an admission decision is over! We now get to tell them about joining orgs, eating in HOCO, and making connections with faculty and other students. After your conversations, we will invite everyone into the main room if they are ready, or allow you to stay in your conversations if they are flowing well.
