Beyond the Border: A Critical Dialogue Series

Date: Feb 10, 2021 at 12:00pm to 1:15pm
Please join us next week for the second installment of Beyond the Border: A Critical Dialogue Series. Hosted by the Graduate School and its Advisory Board for Underrepresented Graduate Students, this series is dedicated to engaging New Hampshire-based practitioners of equity and inclusion with their peers outside of the Granite state. As communities and institutions seek to address racial and social justice, we believe that consistent and frequent dialogue on equity and inclusion-related issues is critical, along with bringing new perspectives into our sphere. This series is a cornerstone of these efforts at the graduate level. Next week's installment, titled "Meritocracy is a Dirty Word" will focus on equality of educational opportunity, and will be led by speakers Dr. Mauriciere de Govia, Leadership Strategist- Executive Superintendent at NYC DOE, and Dr. Jahmal Mosley, Superintendent of the Nashua Public Schools. Professor Joseph Onosko of UNH's Education Department will facilitate the discussion along with Shantel Palacio, doctoral student in UNH's Education Department.
