You do not need to stay at the event the whole time so please read the description carefully to decide how long you want to stay at the event. Anyone is welcome to arrive as early as 7:00am Saturday morning to help with Morning Set-Up. If you want to help as a Race Course Monitor out on the course directing runners during the race (our biggest need), Race Course Monitors need to sign in and location assignments will be given out anytime between 7:30-8:15 am. Race Course Monitors need to be out at their places on the race course by 8:30am. We provide transportation to the distant portions of the race course. Volunteers will walk to the close spots on the course. We need one volunteer to help at the Midcourse Water Station out on the race course filling and putting out cups for the runners. We need several people to help with Timing at the Start and Finish Line. Volunteers helping with Timing need to sign in by 8:15am and be in place by 8:30am. We need volunteers to hand out water as the runners cross the Finish Line. We need volunteers to help with Hospitality (handing out sandwiches, pizza, bananas, cookies and yogurt, etc.) from 8:00-10:00am. We need volunteers to help with the Kid’s Adventure Course at 10:00am We need volunteers to help with Breakdown and Clean-up from 10:30am-11:00am. The biggest need is for Race Course Monitors and with the Kid-Venture Course You will receive credit for how long you were present at the event so make sure in the attendance you indicate how long you were present at the event. ** You have 48 hours prior to this event to remove your name from the list. You have 24 hours prior to this event to find a replacement for you. After that you must contact Julia Rietsch or Katie Holden if you cannot make it, or if you cannot find a replacement.
