Sites will be filled first-come, first-serve, so read the descriptions carefully and choose your top three site choices in order of preference. If you want to volunteer alongside friends, please list their names in the appropriate field so I can keep your group together. Transportation is provided! The Homeless Center for Strafford County provides safe, emergency shelter to homeless women and families (including men with children). The Center serves Strafford County NH, eastern Rockingham County NH, and southern York County, ME. In addition to emergency shelter, the Homeless Center provides case management services and groups/classes on topics including nutrition, parenting, resume writing, and job search/interviewing skills. The Center also has three transitional housing units, where residents can live for a period of 18-24 months. Volunteers will be helping the Homeless Center prepare their annual fall fundraising appeal. There is room for up to 12 volunteers on this project. REP YOUR LETTERS!
