Centre's annual Poverty and Homelessness Week focuses on Food Insecurity in the United States in general and Kentucky in particular. Kentucky hunger activists will discuss causes of hunger in America and the issue of food deserts; the industrial food system vs. local sustainable agriculture; the demise of small family farms and black-owned farms; and efforts to restore the connections between sustainable rural agriculture and urban food deserts.
