Logan Vallee is a 16 year old boy who was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, sometimes referred to as half a heart. Since birth, he has had 3 open hear surgeries, 11 strokes and 3 seizures. Recently, Logan underwent a heart transplant at Lurie's Childrens Hospital in Chicago. The surgery went well and Logan is currently recovering, remarkably well considering he has a brand new heart! His parents, Rick and Trish, take shifts spending weeks with Logan while the other returns to work. The family has to pay gas for each hour plus drive to visit, pay for parking and other things such as medical costs. I grew up with Logan and his family and I thought that I could do my best to help in whatever way possible.
