Join Chicago Cares and The Fire House Center for the Arts for their Food Donation Program. This project will be re-occurring every Wednesday at The Fire House. This program asks volunteers to help pack, prep, and work collaboratively with The Fire House to help provide adequate food resources in the North Lawndale neighborhood. The food packed and prepped will help feed families in need. Volunteers learn more about food justice while lending a hand to build a stronger community. Volunteers will assist with food packaging, prepping, and donation of food supplies in this project. Volunteers can use this project as an opportunity to grow closer with the North Lawndale community, its culture, and ways to continue support Black Americans through interactive conversations and hands on experience. Volunteers are suggested to dress comfortably. Sign up: https://www.chicagocares.org/s/volunteer-job/a0s4V00000oJL5WQAW/project-firehouse-food-donation?s=a0u4V00000AQehFQAT Campus Groups:
