I’m hosting an ongoing service project to collect used clothing. I’ll give whatever I can to the Christopher House (to the benefit of low-income Chicago families), and whatever they won’t take will go to the Salvation Army. The clothes to hours breakdown works like this: Small stuff (gloves, socks, banana hammocks) – 10 to an hour Medium stuff (jeans, blouses, jorts, ‘NO FEAR’ t-shirts) – 5 to an hour Big stuff (jackets, coats, XXL jorts) – 3 to an hour Max of 5 hours. Turn these in at the pledge meetings on Tuesdays, or active meetings on Wednesdays. Place your gear in a garbage bag (or similar) with a note including your name and how many items you have of which sizes.
