On Sunday, January 26th we will be hosting the 23rd Annual Step Up for Kids presented by KPMG stair climb at the Aon Center benefiting the Family Services Department at Lurie Children’s. Volunteers are asked to work from 6:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., and would help make our event a success by providing great support and experiences to our participants. This year we hope to have around 3,000 participants and raise over $800,000 to support a variety of the Family Services Departments programs such as art and music therapy, school services and tutoring, Skylight TV and more to provide emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual support to the patients and their families throughout their journey. Without members of the community donating their time, this event wouldn’t be possible. We would love to have UIC students there to support all of our steppers as they complete 80 floors for the kids! Service hours will be given for travel, and talk to the coordinator Jessica Brooks when you arrive!
