We will be assisting the Greater South Side District in hosting the Pinewood Derby for the Pathway to Adventure Council. The derby briefly is scouts constructing and racing their toy cars against fellow scouts. Report to Room S102D and ask for David Tafur or Jimmy P. List of duties from the coordinator: -Serve as the vehicle movers and protectors. Move the Scout made cars from the pre-race position behind the raceways to the race track. -Serve as independent monitors of the vehicles. -Serve to move the winning race cars from the end of the race track to the winner’s table. Release the non-winning cars to the participant Scouts. -Serve as crowd control of both Scouts and their parents. -Before the Chicago Auto Show opens at 11 am, serve as crowd control in the 1st floor during Scout and Pack registration. -Assist, as needed, with postrace tear down and packing. After your shift, you are free to roam around the Chicago Auto Show also going on at the venue! Comment to host!!
