Mooseheart

Date: Nov 15, 2017 at 6:00pm to 7:00pm
During the conference, we will be holding a service project for Mooseheart. Mooseheart is a residential facility for children in need from infancy through high school. Their campus is 1,000 acres, located in Mooseheart, Illinois. They provide the children with a home-like environment and the best possible education. Their mission statement is “to provide a safe and caring community for children. Students are given opportunities to reach their academic, social, and spiritual potential within a structured family atmosphere. We believe in a simple motto: Enter to learn, Leave to serve.’” Mooseheart has 23 graduating seniors. For most of the students, they are the first one from their family to be attending college. For the service project, we are asking every chapter attending the conference to bring a box for Mooseheart’s senior students. The box should contain items from the list below. The box will help the seniors in their new dorm rooms in the fall. These items have the ability to make a significant impact in the lives of the seniors at Mooseheart, and being part of this service project will improve their transition to college. You can either bring things to the active meeting or to the office during e-board meetings. Donation items to include: Mini stapler & staples Post-It notes - variety of sizes First aid kit Power strip Hand sanitizer Pens/Highlighters Command hooks/strips Magnets Mini steamer Candles Socks Ramen/Granola bars Straws Febreze Book light Mini vacuum/dust pan Wash cloths Mug Thermos
