LISTEN UP PEOPLE !!! DO YOU CARE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT? IF SO KEEP READING! OUR APO CHAPTER HAS BEEN BLESSED TO BE GIVEN THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO HOST THIS COMING NOVEMBER'S STEWARDSHIP DAY AT THE BURNHAM WILDLIFE CORRIDOR!!! For those who don't know Burnham Wildlife Corridor's urban wilderness of prairie, savanna and woodland ecosystem is the largest stretch of natural area along Chicago's lakefront. Each month, groups of volunteers set out to the corridor to help with various duties around the ecosystem such as planting, removing invasive plant species, collecting seeds, removing garbage/litter etc. We will get more information on our specific duties as the day approaches but it will be a something similar to those mentioned above! Chicago Park District will be providing all the supplies and the equipment (including snacks during a snack break), but volunteers must dress appropriately for the weather and wear close-toed shoes.
