Hi People! As you know, the theme for this year's national service week is Improving Literacy for Children. We will be collecting and donating books (in good condition) to a couple of organizations. Kids books will go either to shelters under the Chicago Hope for Kids organization and/or public libraries near by (depending on how many books we collect). Adult books will be donated to Open Books so that they can be sold and then money raised will go to programs like Reading Buddies. One Book = 1 Service Hour (Max 4 hours from donations, do it for the cause!) Contact me or any e-board member, we will be storing the donated books in the APO office in Campus Programs. You can also give your books to me at the Week of Service events (11/7 & 11/11 4-6pm in SCE 302).
