Hello everyone, got nothing to do today? Well come join UIC VSA's first annual service auction! Also did I mention that two of your fellow brothers are part of the service auction? That's right! Come and check it out! What is in store for you is a mystery so come and bid on the most amazing individuals Ryuta and Anna. This year VSA's collective philanthropy project is called FoodAid Compassion & VIETA. What this CPP helps to do is to build water filtration systems and maintain them for the more poor areas of Vietnam. Currently, they do not have access to clean water and so through the funding of our organization, we will be able to help give them access to this clean water. But what exactly do I mean by clean water? Isn't it easy enough just to filter water? Well, there is actually something in the water that is not easily filtrable which is a metal known as arsenic. Arsenic is a very poisonous and dangerous substance and large amounts of it are being found throughout the river that they get their water from. A lot of people have suffered diseases and terrible conditions as a result of arsenic entering their body. But with the help of FoodAid Compassion, VIETA has helped to greatly reduce the amount of arsenic in their every day drinking water, leading to a better life for children and adults. So we hope that you all can come out and support this amazing cause! Water is something that should be accessible to EVERYONE. So through your support, we'll be able to help make it a reality. DETAILS: When: Monday, March 30th from 4-6 PM WHere: SCE Room 302 *For those bidding and end up winning the bid, you MUST have your cash (we also accept credit cards) ready after the event is over to purchase your bid. This is just to avoid any IOU's and whatnot. We hope you understand! NOTE: You do NOT have to place a bid or anything to participate in the fellowship. Simply take a selfie with yours truly (Princess Tubby)! I'll take the selfie because I'm very particular about not looking like a chicken nugget. Thank you! See you there!!!
