I am not sure if you will get hours for donating, as i have no way of checking to make sure you actually do this. I just wanted to have a list to see if anyone donates. I'll get everyone who donates an AMAZING original andrew drawing :) Please be honest, please spread the word, and please donate I mentioned at the meeting today about a fundraiser going on right now for an organization very near and dear to my heart. One of my absolute very best friends with developmental disabilities is living in Misericordia Home and they need your help! Misericordia is a residential home that services almost 600 adults and children with varying degrees of developmental disabilities. Misericordia helps all of their residents learn and grow to become more independent individuals. Aside from the therapy and social aspect that Misericordia brings to their lives, it also creates jobs for their residents who typically would not work (due to accessibility or other various reasons). They are currently partially funded by the state, but the rest is to be made through their restaurant, bakery, and donations. Unfortinetly there is still an almost $12 million deficit. This weekend Misericordia is having candy day sales to contribute to their needs. If you are out and about and see someone with a Misericordia vest on, please donate! If you arent out and about and in the library studying allll weeekend all you have to do is text to place a $5 donation. Please please do this. I dont know if you'll get service hours for it (just cause, umm, i dont know who to ask anymore with elections) but that shouldnt matter, you should do it because you care about these individuals. I will put it up on APO online just to make sure. I do not have any access to the database to see if you have actually donated, so please be honest. ALSO!! Please please please spread the word about this! For everyone who donates I will get each and every one of you one of Andrews AMAZING AWESOME PHENOMINAL drawings (tiki huts, mauthra, aliens... Just nothing pink, ha).
