In these virtual sessions, volunteers will send text messages with the Know Your Rights wallet card to inform our communities about their constitutional and civil protections when interacting with law enforcement and immigration officials. Key aspects include the right to remain silent, not to consent to a search without a warrant, and the right to speak with a lawyer if arrested. Through this campaign we will equip over 500,000 Chicagoans across 77 neighborhoods with Know Your Rights resources.
