Join in preserving our city’s natural areas! We're joining forces with the Forest Preserves of Cook County and the North Branch Restoration Project to help with local conservation efforts and learn about protecting native habitats. You will remove invasive species, mulch trails, and plant native species, depending on the seasonal needs in the nature preserve. Your work at this project helps to preserve biodiversity and creates a healthy place for Chicagoans to enjoy nature. This is an outdoor volunteer project. Be prepared to work outside for the duration of the project and dress for the weather. All supplies will be provided including healthy, nut-free snacks.
