This project helps people and the planet! Each year, more than 12 million tons of furniture and home goods end up in our landfills, but as much as 95% could be used again. This project supports our partner, Digs with Dignity, an organization working to elevate the lives of those transitioning from homelessness by providing them with a beautiful, dignified home. Join Sew Crafty Studios to learn basic sewing techniques and create comfy poufs from discarded fabric. Digs with Dignity collects donated furniture and home goods and works with Chicago-based social service agencies to design fully furnished dignified homes. With the gift of handmade home goods, your family will reduce landfill waste wile showing kindness and care for families transitioning from homelessness.
