ChatGPT and the Research Process: How ChatGPT Can (and Can't) Support Undergraduate Research

Date: Apr 11, 2023 at 2:00pm to 3:00pm
** You must register to attend this event. Please register for access to the Zoom link. ** Events description: Join UMSL librarians Libby Wheeles & Lena Marvin for a conversation about ChatGPT and undergraduate library research! ChatGPT is a powerful language model growing rapidly in popularity. At this event, we will cover how ChatGPT works and how it can (and can't!) support each stage of the research process: choosing your research topic, identifying keywords, building an effective search, finding specific sources (or not), and citing sources. We will NOT be covering how to ethically use ChatGPT in the WRITING process. This conversation focuses solely on the research phase.
