Volunteers are needed for World Food Day Commemoration. There are two ways to get involved with WFD. The first is as a packaging volunteer. These participants spend one hour packaging meals that are then sent to those starving in sub-Saharan Africa. Afterward, they get the opportunity to learn more about scientific research geared towards addressing hunger, as well as other issues facing humanity. The second way to get involved is by being a leadership volunteer. These individuals provide logistical support throughout the event. Sample duties include greeting volunteers, working the registration table, and assisting the packaging lines, among others.
