Honeysuckle hack |
| Date: Nov 2, 2024 at 7:45am to 10:30am | |
Did you know that bush honeysuckle is an invasive species that has been taking over Missouri woodlands, strangling our native plants? Help us reclaim our parks by hacking honeysuckle!
We will be removing bush honeysuckle from Schroeder Park in the City of Manchester. (Note that it is possible that we may be offered the possibility of removing honeysukle at other parks in the City of Manchester if there is a large group, but the intent is to work within Schroeder). Park staff will provide gloves, tools, and instruction as we restore our parks. Donuts and drinks will be provided at the start of the clean-up, courtesy of Manchester Parks, Recreation, and Arts. This event is in conjunction with the City of Manchester, so not all attendees will be geocachers. The Manchester Parks, Recreation and Arts representative collaborating with us for this event is Rebecca Pate.
We will be meeting at the millennium student center at 7:45 AM and leaving at 8 AM to ride down together. | |
