This service day will assist with the set-up, event, and take-down for our annual fall plant sale to support William B. Umstead State Park. We have set up 2 volunteer time slots: 8:30am-1pm which includes set-up and event start; 11am-3pm (which includes event and take-down) Volunteer tasks will include: raising the tents; unloading and organizing the plants, T-shirts, and merchandise; assisting folks in buying plants, and assisting with checkout, and take-down. We will provide water and light snacks for our volunteers. We have vastly expanded our plant varieties and quantities this year and we expect a large number of folks anxious to take advantage of our wonderful offerings. We are looking for up to 20 volunteers to help make this event run smoothly.
