Challah for Hunger is not doing bakes this semester, but they are holding bi-weekly meetings talking about the cultural aspect of challah and food insecurity. In addition to the meeting, they have an action item where they educate people on organizations trying to fight food insecurity. This weeks organization is the Okra Project, which "is a collective that seeks to address the global crisis faced by Black Trans people by bringing home-cooked, healthy, and culturally specific meals and resources to Black Trans People wherever we can reach them". Challah for Hunger will be doing a fundraiser for the Okra Project. If you attend the meeting you can receive one hour of service and if you take part in the fundraiser you can receive an additional hour.
