Kaitlin Sullivan, a proud APO alum, works with the Salvation Army in Raleigh and she passed along this opportunity: As many of you may know last year our program register over 8,800 children for our Christmas Cheer Program which enabled these kids to have toys, stockings, and clothing to open on Christmas morning. None of this would have been possible without the time and dedication of the amazing volunteers that help us throughout the holiday season! As Christmas approaches and our office begins to prepare for what is the most exciting (and busiest) time of the year we want to extend the invitation for each of you to help of with the kick off to the season- Client Registration! We need volunteers to help us each day starting on Monday, October 26 through Friday, October 30th to get all the families registered to be a part of the Angel Tree Program. Volunteers will interview clients and put their personal data into computers. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed. We break the day into two shifts: 8:30am-12:30pm, 12:30pm-4:00pm and need at least 15 volunteers to help us for each shift. Since it's in Raleigh, you will get another service hour to account for transportation.
