I will continue to update this as we progress, but here is the general idea.
What is Carolina Cup?
The Carolina Cup is an annual steeplechase horse race held at the Springdale Race Course in Camden, South Carolina.
When is Carolina Cup?
Carolina Cup takes place on Saturday, March 28th. We will be leaving early that morning and returning the same night via bus.
Why should you want to go to the Carolina Cup?
The Carolina Cup is a horserace, but more importantly it is a giant tailgate. There were about 70,000 people in attendance last year. It is an opportunity to dress up, tailgate with a bunch of your close friends and get really drunk.
Logistics:
This trip is going to be on the expensive side, but it is not something you are likely to forget. Tickets for the Carolina Cup are $30 per person, which is required to get on site, whether you ever make it to the horse racing or not. There is also an $800 parking space fee so that we can set up our tent along college row, where all of the other fraternities and sororities will be. Finally there will be the cost of getting transportation to and from Camden, South Carolina on that Saturday. | |
