https://heellife.unc.edu/event/10545547 As the United States prepares for a hotly polarized presidential election and political violence rises around the world, pro-democracy organizers can create the conditions that disincentivize the use of violence to achieve one's goals and must be prepared to respond in the event of political violence. Relying on pedagogy created by Harnessing Our Power to End Political Violence (HOPE) trainers from Sunrise UNC, will give non-violence campus and community leaders the tools they need to make political violence backfire and capitalize on instances of violent repression to advance their cause.
