St. Paul's Encore Shop

Date: Mar 27, 2017 at 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Sign up for this event if you'd like to volunteer any day of the week at the encore shop. They are open Monday-Saturday from 1pm-4pm. Please leave a comment as to which day you're serving. Keep in mind no more than 2 people can serve at the same time. Also, BE SURE to email Eleanor Blaker at john.blaker@cox.net and let her know that you are coming several days in advance. Below is info on the encore shop: For the last fifty years, St. Paul's Episcopal Church has run a discounted clothing and household goods store called the Encore Shop. Located just off of Poyntz in their historic parsonage, the shop receives, stocks and resells gently-used clothing and household good donations. The shop does about $10,000 in business annually. Profits from the shop go back out into the community in the form of quarterly grants paid to various non-profit organizations; Shepherd’s Crossing, Flint Hills Community Clinic, and The Happy Kitchen. The Encore Shop is staffed by volunteers from the church and the community. Work responsibilities would be what you might expect from a clothing store: Carrying Boxes, Sorting and Stocking, Customer Service, and Cleaning. Veteran members of the Encore Shop Staff will be there to assist in working the shift.
