Leadership.
Friendship.
Service.

Sound like something you're interested in?

We're Alpha Phi Omega, a national gender-inclusive service fraternity at Parkland College. Leadership, Friendship, and Service is what we do. We want to invite you to come make us part of your Parkland College experience!

Continuous Recruitment

We welcome new members at any time.  If you're interested in leadership, friendship, and service, attend one of our chapter meetings on Fridays 2-3 PM in U-140.  You can also email ParklandAPO@gmail.com or one of our campus advisors, Dr. Brian Nudelman or W. Jason Strutz.

Open Event Schedule

Want to see what APO is all about for yourself? There will be several activities we are hosting on and off campus for prospective members to try our programs and get to know our members. Most events are drop-in/drop-out, so just let us know by email at ParklandAPO@gmail.com when you will be there.

Service Projects

We have several of our favorite projects and some one-time events scheduled for you to get a taste of what our service program is all about. These projects and events are open to everybody, but we do ask that you RSVP with us in advance so we can tell our service partners how many to expect.

Friday, February 2 @ 1:45pm to 4:15pm - Salt and Light
Meet at the atrium outside Student Life in the U wing.  We will take a Parkland van to Salt and Light in Champaign, where we will help sort donations.

Fellowship Events

Service is a big part of what we do, but it's not everything! We also have some of our favorite get-together activities scheduled for you to get to know our members. Best of all, as a prospective member, these are all at either no-cost or very low cost to you! Please RSVP by email

No events currently scheduled

Special New Member Activities

All members are encouraged to join weekly meetings on Fridays, 2-3 PM in U-140. We strive to include all three cardinal principles in each meeting by planning service events, doing activities to foster leadership development, and bonding through social interaction.

Our New Member Ceremony will be held on Friday, February 16th at 5:45pm in U-140 at Parkland College. In this ceremony, we share our history and heritage, and officially welcome you as a new member of Alpha Phi Omega.

***We are very flexible and are able to work around most people's schedules and lives. If you have a conflict with our events, we can set up alternative activities for you!***

Questions? Send us an email at ParklandAPO@gmail.com or stop by our desk in the Student Organization Office (Room U115 in the Student Life area), and talk to an APO officer during our open office hours.  You can also talk to our either of our Advisors, (Dr. Brian Nudelman in C122 or W. Jason Strutz in D261). We recruit year-round, and we're looking forward to meeting you!

ALL STUDENTS WELCOME!
