Acta Non Verba Community Farm

Date: Oct 3, 2020 at 12:00pm to 4:00pm
Acta Non Verba: Youth Urban Farm Project (ANV) elevates inner-city life by challenging oppressive dynamics and environments through urban farming. We inspire 3,000+ low-income youth and families to focus on wellness, education, and improving quality of life in Elmhurst through access to farming beds, nutrition and cooking classes, community building events, educational childcare camps for 300+ local youth, a CSA, food pantry, and farmstand provides produce to residents (accepting EBT payments), and installation of gardens in local schools with partner Alameda County. All work days are family-friendly events. During our work days activities consist of but are not limited to: weeding, planting, harvesting, pruning, and learning lessons about sustainable agriculture and growing produce in East Oakland. Come get your hands dirty, feel the sun on your face and help us maintain our small farm-and possibly take home some organic produce. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Farm workdays are held rain or shine! Full opportunity address and directions will be sent to you by e-mail after you sign up.
