NSW: Out of Darkness Walk

Date: Oct 21, 2018 at 7:00am to 2:00pm
National Service Week: Suicide Prevention & Awareness Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Unlike other illnesses, it is difficult to look at someone and know their connection. The Bay Area Out of the Darkness Walks are a journey of hope and healing that unites our community and acknowledges the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and our loved ones. * Today we will help with a variety of activities such as: set-up and breakdown, managing food and beverage stations, route support, prize giveaways, and more. * ** If you would like to independently join the walk, you may do so for service credit. Please register here and comment below that you will be walking. https://afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=5269 ** _______________________________________________ REMEMBRANCE ACTIVITY: We will also get the chance to participate in their Remembrance Activity. The Remembrance area is an opportunity for us to share special photos and written memories of our loved one with others, or to simply pause for a quiet moment of reflection. We encourage you to bring a non-returnable photo of your loved one to the event to add to the Remembrance Activity Area. Meet behind the RAW @ 6am to situate rides.
