At Faces of the Homeless, speakers from Hands on Hartford, an organization that supports people in need and the homeless community, come and share their stories. These speakers, who experienced and continue to experience homelessness, will educate and share their knowledge on homelessness in Connecticut and the most significant issues that their community faces. 4 keynote speakers will present on behalf of their experiences and open up an important discussion about the homeless community. Each speaker will share and then will allow the audience to ask questions in a Q & A session at the end. This event is held in hopes of students learning and understanding the difficulties that the homeless community faces, as well as try and teach the students how they can get involved and help others in need. There will be free food at this event.
