The Youth Summit is an event being held for students of 7th & 8th grades, 11th & 12th grades, and kids the ages of 19-25 who need educational guidance. There are expected to be 1,500 students there, taking part in information sessions, listening to speakers, and learning about opportunities to help their future. Volunteers will be helping to make sure the entire event goes on smoothly by helping direct students to certain locations and helping set up different stands and activities (just as some examples). The event is technically broken into four hour shifts, but the coordinators really need help all day. Volunteers will receive the amount of service hours they spend helping at the event, so just email Lauren. Volunteers must fill out a registration form: https://websitecheck.quinnipiac.edu/canit/urlproxy.php?_q=aHR0cDovL3d3dy51bml0ZWR3YXljZmMub3JnL3ZvbHVudGVlci1zaWduLWJyaWRnZXBvcnQteW91dGgtc3VtbWl0&_r=cXVpbm5pcGlhYy1lZHU%3D It is also strongly recommended that they attend an orientation session before the event. Email Lauren with any questions or concerns.
