FEMMES+Hacks is where 9th-12th grade students will participate in a one-day hackathon-inspired event. Participants will choose one of six outlined tracks and participate in four workshops in the track to take away hands-on experience and a product at the end of the day. Each workshop will be run by a Track Lead, who is a college student, with the help of multiple volunteers. The participants will also have the opportunity to hear from speakers and panelists, including professors, college students, and company representatives. FEMMES+Hacks will occur virtually this year on 10/23/2021 from 9am-5pm. Please submit applications by 9/19/2021 if interested!!! Credits will be given based on number of hours volunteered. The following tracks are offered at FEMMES+Hacks this year: - Python and AI - Java - UX/UI Design - Front-end Web Development - Data Visualization - Electrical Hardware (Arduino Uno) Track Leads will work with the Workshop Directors to develop and outline the individual workshops (FOUR total workshops) within the track. Track Leads may also lead one or more workshops in the track.
