Take seniors on an excursion to a neighborhood 99 cent store. Volunteers are asked to help transport seniors to the 99 Cent store by pushing them in wheelchairs approximately 8 blocks roundtrip. Bilingual (Spanish, Armenian, Korean, or Tagalog & English) skills are helpful. Alexandria Care Center is a skilled nursing facility that provides both short-term rehabilitation to get elderly clients healthy and back home and long-term care for those requiring 24-hour assistance.
