The elderly clients at Alexandria Care Center don't always have the chance to get out of their rooms very much. To boost their spirits and get some fresh air, they're offered a weekend excursion to the neighborhood 99 Cent Store! Shopping for great deals is one of their monthly highlights! Come provide a much needed shopping trip along with great companionship, lively talk and needed sunshine Special Note: Volunteers are asked to help transport seniors to the 99 Cent store by pushing them in wheelchairs approximately 8 blocks roundtrip. If you feel that you may not physically be able to do this, please email the Project Leader below before signing up to see if alternative arrangements can be made.
