EVERY DAY LA Region Red Cross responds to a few home fires that displace residents. People lose everything they have- medical records, baby pictures, medical equipment, their entire livelihoods sometimes. So the Home Fire Campaign is a nationwide campaign where the American Red Cross is trying to lower the risk of fire related deaths and injuries by 25% by 2019. Red Cross plans on doing this by offering the community FREE smoke alarms (2-6 per home) and educating the families on proper home fire safety.
