What is APALA? It is a leadership program for CSULA students who self identify as Asian, Pacific Islander and Desi (APID) to explore identities, build community, and develop leadership skills. Our hope is that you walk out of APALA empowered by your history, receive mentorship and guidance, and be inspired to become change agents in the community. By joining you will receive: - Enhanced leadership skills - Network opportunities and APID community leaders - Peer mentorship - A customized t-shirt - FREE BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND DINNER!! ** You MUST stay the entire time to get both PR and leadership credit** Important: Application requires a 250-word essay or 30 second video (name, major, hobbies, and why they want to join APALA). If they put on their applications that they are joining to get leadership credit and PR credit, I can guarantee that they will not be selected. Don’t make APO look bad.
