Huntington Drive Los Angeles, CA 90032 8:00 a.m.: Volunteer Check-in and MANDATORY Orientation at Huntington Drive Elementary School. Please go to the main office to check-in. There will be someone there to greet volunteers. STREET PARKING is available around the school site. Please pay close attention to the street parking signs before parking/leaving your car. DRESS APPROPRIATELY for an elementary school setting. If you have any Cal State L.A. gear, please wear it for the event. You may wear your club/org gear, too. PICTURE TAKING of children is strictly prohibited. ======= Mandatory MCGC event (50% + 1 of our membership) The MANDATORY TIME is only 8 am - 10 am, but we would like as many people as possible to stay till the end. The program we're creating kind of relies on people to stick around. SERVICE INFO: We will be reading to kids, just like Reading To Kids. But we also have to create a lesson plan (in coordination with MCGC Service Coordinator Jean, and EPIC). We will also be making props and focusing on multiculturalism and/or higher education. We are also required to donate 5 children's books (ranging from K through 5th grade reading levels)
