Second Chance

Date: Mar 23, 2024 at 9:30am to 1:30pm
Second Chance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides people, materials, and the environment with a second chance. They deconstruct buildings and homes, salvage usable materials, and make those available to the public through our 200,000 square feet of retail space. With the revenue generated, they provide job training and workforce development for those with employment obstacles in the Baltimore region. Volunteers are able to spend quality time with our team members; the vast majority are here getting a “Second Chance” at learning skills that will enable them to live a productive life. Activities include sorting / stacking doors and windows, preparing materials for pricing and merchandising, removing nails from our deconstruction inventory of wood (prep for sale) etc. DRESS CODE: We require that long pants and close-toed shoes are required. Midriff and crop tops are prohibited. Clothes may get dirty. Bring your own water bottle! Leave at 9:30 AM from Scott-Bates Commons Volunteer from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM at 1700 Ridgely St, Baltimore, MD 21230 Return by 1:30 PM Mode of Transport: Van/Lyft Requirements: YOU MUST FILL OUT THIS WAIVER PRIOR TO GOING. https://www.secondchanceinc.org/ways-to-give/donate-time/volunteer-release-and-waiver/
