The workshop will be presented by PharmHop — a JHU student-led organization focusing on career development for those who'd like to pursue work in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. In this workshop, there will be representatives from the Takeda Pharmaceutical Company speaking about the importance of Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace and strategies for how these values are maintained in the industry. Employees from D&I (diversity and inclusion) committees representing specific communities (e.g. Latinx, LGBTQ+) will be speaking about the representation of these communities in the pharmaceutical industry and how they relate to these communities.
